Study in South Korea from Pakistan
South Korea is a scholarship route first. GKS covers tuition, a funded year of Korean, and the flight.
Pick your track before you start. The embassy track is applied for online through the Study in Korea portal; the university track is submitted in person or by post directly to the institution. They have different deadlines and different odds, and you cannot casually switch between them late.

What does the GKS scholarship cover?
Tuition of up to KRW 5 million per semester from NIIED with the university covering any excess, one funded year of Korean language training before the degree, and an economy return flight. Living allowances are set in each year's call.
What is the difference between the embassy and university tracks?
The embassy track is applied for online through the Study in Korea portal and screened by the Korean embassy; the university track is submitted directly to the institution, in person or by post. Deadlines, competition and the number of places differ, so the choice matters.
Can I study in South Korea in English?
Yes, at many national universities, particularly at graduate level. The funded Korean language year is part of the GKS award regardless, which is one of the reasons it is worth applying for.
Final admission and visa decisions are made by universities and embassies.
